Kyle Travelet started his Kutztown Rugby career as a young freshmen on the wing. Later in the semester we noticed how hard he ran and moved him to center. He and his young teammates won the EPRU 2nd side championship.
Any rugby team worth their weight has to have a proficient scrum-half calling the shots. At Kutztown University, we are fortunate to have Gordon Ralph wearing the illustrious number nine. Gordon has been a member of the Golden Bears for four years. During that time span, he has led the maroon and gold to their most illustrious moments in club history, as well as being a member of the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Select Side Team in 2008.

Greg Brooks came to the Kutztown Rugby Club as a highly touted high school rugby player. He started his high school rugby career, in his native state of California and played for the nationally ranked Los Angeles Cougars.
The 2009 fall rugby season was a huge success as both the first and second side squads qualified for the Middle Atlantic Premier League Finals. The 1st side will open their run for the national championship by taking on this year’s undefeated, University of Delaware Blue Hens. This Mid-Atlantic semi-final will kick-off on March 27, 2010. On that same weekend, the Golden Bear’s 2nd side will play for the Premier League’s 2nd side championship. They take on the Midshipmen of Navy, in a highly anticipated rematch of their regular season contest, won by Navy 17-15.
Marco Barnard, the most prolific player in the history of Kutztown Rugby has played his final game for the Golden Bears. While at Kutztown, he did what no other player before him had ever accomplished — he was awarded the distinction of representing the United States of America. Marco was selected and played for the United States National 7’sTeam. The USA Eagles.
