Player Profiles

Greg Brooks came to the Kutztown Rugby Club as a highly touted high school rugby player. He started his high school rugby career, in his native state of California and played for the nationally ranked Los Angeles Cougars.

 

Greg BrooksHis family moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he spent his senior year playing rugby with the Allentown Blues. While with the Blues, he caught the attention of Doc Jones and was recruited to play for Kutztown University. Greg has been an off an on starter for the last three years. This season, his collegiate profile has changed dramatically. Greg has matured into the player he was always destined to be. Standing 6′ 5′  and weighing 225 lbs, Greg is now an everyday starter at second row for the Golden Bears. He wears the #5 with distinction and is being considered for team honors and selection to the Middle Atlantic Collegiate All-Star Team.

 

Greg is a mathematics major and the current President of the rugby club. Along with his academic and rugby responsibilities, he works two jobs and finds time to train diligently for the sport.  Greg plans to attend graduate school next year and continue his rugby career with Kutztown University.
